The MSE Group is now one of the UK and Ireland’s largest and best renowned suppliers of home entertainment products. MSE provides a full wholesale, distribution and fulfilment service par excellence to retailers and e-tailers in the UK, in the Republic of Ireland and across the world. For non-traditional outlets, and for public authorities who buy its products for rental in libraries, MSE also provides a thoughtful, proactive category or range management service. Its growth in recent years has been exponential.
The MSE Group is the new name for the Pilton Group and for the various companies which were previously component parts. These companies include VHS, and its subsidiaries HEE, HEI, GRD and LMS, along with Ozmo Entertainment. The MSE Group also embraces Irish games supplier CGS, DVD wholesaler NCV, and audio/video accessories supplier Sherlane.
MSE was itself a subsidiary of the Pilton Group. This name has been chosen as the new branding for the entire group simply because it reflects all elements of the fast-growing, rapidly evolving company.
Three divisions currently comprise the MSE Group: MSE UK, MSE Ireland and MSE Trading. The services available through the MSE Group each fall within one of these divisions. MSE Ireland embraces CGS, NCV and Sherlane in its Wholesale operation, as well as its specialist Distribution arm and Non-Traditional Category Management service. MSE UK controls Library Multimedia, Fulfilment and Non-Traditional Category Management, while its Wholesale, Distribution and International sub-divisions come under the remit of MSE Trading.
Although it has a new name, the company’s long pedigree extends to UK-based VHS and Ireland-based NCV, companies which have been trading for around 30 years. With the acquisitions made in recent years by the Pilton Group, the MSE Group has expanded geographically far beyond its original base and operates in all sectors of the home entertainment industry.
The Group has offices in Belfast, Dublin, London and Warrington. Its Warrington complex, the main distribution centre for the UK and the site of its export operation, has expanded since July 2009 and now includes a 35,000 sq ft warehouse, with further space to expand. Considering the Group's extensive range of stock, over a quarter of a million lines and rising, that’s an essential facility, and one its customers can benefit from by visiting personally.
With an extensive breadth and depth of experience, together with all-important relationships with suppliers and customers alike, the MSE Group is in a strong position to become the Home Entertainment supplier everyone wants to work with. The powerful backing of its €6.4bn parent company DCC plc gives MSE the means to fulfil its unquestionable potential and to continue its expansion, both organically and especially through pursuing an active strategy of acquisition.
